Wheaton grew up fast after the war, and the housing stock shows it, brick ramblers and split levels from the 1950s and 1960s cluster around Wheaton Regional Park and out toward Kensington. A lot of these homes still have their original single bathroom layout, which means adding a second one or reworking the existing one for a growing family is a common project here.
The community around Westfield Wheaton and Georgia Avenue is one of the more diverse in the county, and that shows in the range of homes we work on, from untouched originals to ones already renovated once in the 1990s that need another pass. Flooring in these older homes is often original hardwood under carpet that's worth pulling up and refinishing instead of replacing.
